Gathering poppies in

a field near

Burbank, Cal.

A Spanish type

of bungalow - now

becoming quite

prevalent in

Pasadena Hollywood

and elsewhere in

southern Calif.

This one was a light

yellow with soft

blue trimmings and red

tile roof

Taken in the edge of

Griffith Park, Cal. in a

beautiful fern dale,

on the afternoon of

Feb. 28 - 1926, at 3 P.M.

The last act of my precious Chas. was to

Just fairly

started on our joining up coast

to Santa Barbara, all piled

out of car at first sight

of wild, golden poppies.

This was taken

in front of our Miami house winter

of 1932. It was the

real home of Mr and

Mrs Frank Nixon who

were wintering in a rear

cottage.
