Front of Card: Old San Fernando Mission

near town of San Fernando

in valley of same name.

Sometime during week of

Feb. 10 - '24. Sargents and Wheatons

Sat. Mch 125 - Coming from

Mt Wilson, after having spent

the night in the summit. Went

up Friday forenoon Feb. 29.

Not very clear atmosphere, but a

perfectly wonderful night scene.

The many nearby towns and some not

so very close…

had beautifully decorated

floats. The one shown really

is but a small part of this

background - the biggest one in

the world. 100 ft in diameter, with

a ^(mirror) lens 100 in. in diam.

It shows many more stars than

any other 'scope, - down to a star…

and elsewhere in

This one was a light

yellow with soft

blue trimmings and red

tile roof

some friendly pine trees.

Taken on trip to Santa

Barbara. Pretty country

planes going into Ventura.
