Big Walnuts Future Homemakers of America members have been very
active during the school year since winning first place honors for their County
Fair booth in September. Included in the club program was the Winter Christ-
mas dance and the All Sports dance this spring. The latter, annually sponsor-
ed by the FHA, spotlights a king and queen elected by the student body. In
addition to entertaining a new FHA chapter, the group planned to tour a Colum-
bus bakery. Senior members were honored at the Mother - Daughter Banquet,
the final event of the year.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY
It is now 1984 and we find Daniel E. Johnson running for President of the United States. While making
his campaign tour, he decides to look up all his old classmates.
He arrives at the airport in Washington where he learns that the owner is Marlene Krohn and who should
be the airline hostess but Shirley Day.
The first stop is New York City where he finds several of his friends. James Adkins is sitting in his big
office counting the profits he is making from his chain of restaurants, while Rita Barnett is doing very well
as a Powers model. Ann Morris, a reporter for the New York Times has just written an article about Patty
Satterfield's approaching piano concert.
Journeying on into the New England States, he stops at Harvard to see the new chemistry teacher, Pro-
fessor Roy Bryant and the former Herma Richardson, now Mrs. Kyle Compton has invited Dan to a party
given in his honor at their estate in Maine.
Continuing the tour, he stops in Pennsylvania to see some of the former members of his football team
in action. David Cline and Ray Baughman are head coaches of the Philadelphia Eagles and he notices on
the program that Wesley Stambach is manager of the club.
The next stop is a place that is very familiar to all of us -- Columbus, Ohio. When he arrives at the
hotel, owned by Ernie Goodwin, he finds Jim Irwin working at the desk and Patty Wilson operating the
telephone switch board.
While shopping at the F. and R. Lazarus Company he is very surprised and pleased to see Ralph Strait,
the store detective, and Jeanne Cockrell, who works in the office.
From these two he learns that Don Hickman owns a used car lot, Betty Grove and Janice Martin are
running a boarding house, and Lucretia Hughes and Donna Griffith are nurses at the Veteran's Hospital
in Chillicothe. Also, he learns that Bernard Daily is president of the Old Farmer's Association in Sunbury
and that Jack Moore and E. J. Miller are both members.
Now we follow the candidate on into Indiana where he meets Don Glenn who is teaching Theology at
Marian University. And on into Chicago. For a little recreation he decides to visit the Bell Night Club,
owned by Thomas Lenhart. The spot light shines on Lois Cantrell, a popular singer of the day and Mary
Ward, a figure skater.
Again we follow him on the tour and stop this time in Colorado where we see Dean Edwards and Doug
McKay running a wild life organization, also we find Carol Luthi is the wife of a wealthy cattle rancher.
Going into the state library in Idaho, we notice that Diana Tiffany is the librarian. She tells him
that Lois Smith is a psychiatrist in Seattle, Washington.
A short flight takes us into California. While giving a speech in Hollywood he sees two familiar faces
in the group -- Linda Chambers and Helen Jolly, who are both house wives living a short distance from
there. Also while in town he is invited to see the premier of a new movie "Father was a Senior" co-
starring Doris Shoaf and Lester Warner.
We are now in Arizona where we find Doris Mackley, the wife of an engineer, working on a project
for Jim Horn, the President of the Pure Oil Company.
On to Texas now to visit the Texas Oil King and his wife, the former Shirley Rose.
He now arrives in Alabama and finds Shirley Hoover is a history teacher in a local high school and
David Zwayer running a barber shop with Sara Ross as his manicurist.
Down into the Everglade State we find Erlene Townley has a resort and Virgil Edwards is running a
fishery.
Now up into Kentucky where we find Polly Smith is teaching school in Louisville. Daniel learns from
Polly that Susie Martin is married to a traveling salesman and living in Louisville also.
The next stop takes him to Annapolis Maryland to the Navy Base. There he sees Wally Nichols and
Bob Richardson, who tell him that Lawrence Shicks is a Marine Officer and that Mary Lou Atkinson and
Wilma Burwell are both in the Waves.
Back to Washington at last where we find Daniel's secretary, Shirley Longshore is busy preparing for
the coming election. Also we find that the White House has been remodeled by Rush Counts and re-
decorated by Nellie Layton.
We are now awaiting the election and hoping that Anita Mann and Delano Walker will be appointed
to the Cabinet.
