Description
This has been identified as the George and Dorothy Griffith farm by their granddaughter, Penny Woehle. The Griffith's moved from Lindon to Galena in 1947 where they owned a restaurant where Mudflats is today. Mr. Griffith planted the pine trees that are in Galena Square.
The Griffith's lived in the house next to the restaurant and purchased the 100 acre farm shown in the slide. Penny remembers that he paid $10,000 for the farm. Mr. Griffith cultivated straw, hay, soybeans, and raised cows and pigs.
