This house was most likely built before 1901, and was the home of one of Olive Green's founders, Christopher Lindenberger. In 1836, Lindenberger established himself as a merchant in Olive Green.
This mid to late 19th century photo shows a logging expedition on the Jacob Foster farm. Rose Perfect (sitting on the log) provides a reference point for the size of the tree.
Mrs. Wheaton did not describe this stereograph or name the location of its content. It is likely that Mr. and Mrs. Wheaton are two of the three people in the picture and that the third is a traveling companion and friend.
